PPS Vision Meeting
PlymPhotoSocials is getting together to think about what comes next. Since PPS began, the simple idea has always been that photography is better when it gives us a reason to get out, explore Plymouth and spend time with other people who enjoy making pictures. We want to keep that at the centre while opening up more ways for the community to shape what we do.
At our next meeting we’ll be developing a shared vision for PPS: what kinds of socials people actually want, how often we should meet, how members can host their own ideas, and how we can build more collaborative projects alongside our walks. That might mean more Pints & Prints, coffee meet-ups, themed shoots, portrait swaps, zines, exhibitions, photo-book nights, neighbourhood projects — or ideas we haven’t thought of yet.
One starting point is a simple set of principles: Shoot. Share. Make. Meet. Go out together, share work and ideas, make things collaboratively, and keep the social side at the heart of it.
Nothing is being decided in advance. The aim of the meeting is to hear what feels most like PPS and build the next chapter together. Everyone who has been involved is warmly welcome.
